How to know where your SAC(SAP Analytics Cloud) is hosted?
- SAP analytics cloud ist typically hosted on the SAP Cloud Platform. However, the specific cloud region or data center where your SAC instance is hosted can vary based on your organization’s preferences and requirements.
- SAP operates data centers in multiple regions worldwide to ensure data sovereignty, compliance, and low-latency access for its customers. Once a user sign up for SAP Analytics Cloud or deploy it within your organization, you typically have the option to select the data center or cloud region where your SAC tenant will be provisioned.
- Common SAP Cloud regions include North America (e.g., United States), Europe (e.g., Germany), Asia-Pacific (e.g., Australia, Singapore), and others.
- If you want to check your tenant details , here is the way to do- 1st thing if you want to know about the Data center details, check in your url link- if the there is 1 number it means that it is being hosted on a SAP Data center and if there are 2 numbers it means, it is hosted in non-SAP data center.
eg- EU1 means SAP data center and EU10 means non-SAP data center.
5. The letter code eu means europe, which means the location of the data center is Europe, br- brazil, us- states etc.
6. A very good example — All SAP Analytics Cloud tenant URLs that you use must follow this scheme: https://YourTenant.domain.
7. Tenants of the SAP Analytics Cloud may be hosted on several domains. You don’t need to make any additional configurations to use tenants with the default domain hcs.cloud.sap. The Microsoft365 administrator needs to manually configure the tenants of the other domains, such as sapanalytics.cloud or hanacloudservices.cloud.sap.
8. In the case of non-SAP data centers, some other cloud providers like google cloud, aws, azure will be providing us IAAS- Infrastructure as a Service and SAP will be used as a platform on these infrastructures(Platform as a service).
I hope this article will give some insight to you on the hosting part of SAP Analytics cloud.
